Effective 2026. Operator: Ab616 Ltd (England & Wales).

1. The service

Shelflife is a Founder Operating System for UK consumer brand (FMCG) founders. It provides a methodology, templates, an AI coach (ShelfAi) and a Build in Public feed. By creating an account you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over and capable of forming a legally binding contract.

3. Subscriptions, billing, refunds

Shelflife has three tiers. Grow First is free. Grow Plus is a subscription at £19.99 per month and includes a 7-day free trial. Investment is a one-off payment of £299, not a subscription: it does not renew, and it includes the raise journey permanently plus six months of Grow Plus.

On the web these are billed by card through our payment provider, Stripe. In the iOS and Android apps they are billed through Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing, where the products available and the price charged are those shown to you in the store at the point of purchase, which may differ from the web prices above.

The one-off Investment payment does not renew and there is nothing to cancel. Grow Plus renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Renewal charges are applied through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, or to the card you registered with Stripe, at the price in effect at the time of renewal. We will notify you in-app if a renewal price changes before it takes effect.

Manage or cancel an app subscription through your device's subscription settings: App Store → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Subscriptions. Manage or cancel a web subscription from Settings → Membership → Manage subscription, which opens your Stripe billing portal to update your card, switch plan or cancel at the end of the current period. Apple and Google handle refunds for in-app purchases per their published policies; for web subscriptions, email hello@shelflifeventures.com and we will consider refund requests in line with UK consumer law.

4. Acceptable use

  • Don't post abusive, defamatory, hateful or illegal content.
  • Don't impersonate other founders, investors or buyers.
  • Don't scrape, reverse-engineer or attempt to defeat rate limits.
  • Don't share your account credentials.
  • Don't use the service to send unsolicited bulk outreach.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension or termination without refund.

5. ShelfAi

ShelfAi is an AI coach powered by Anthropic Claude. ShelfAi outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated and should not be relied upon as legal, tax, accounting, investment or financial advice. You are responsible for reviewing every AI-generated draft before sending, posting, signing or filing it. We do not warrant accuracy, completeness or fitness for purpose. Cohort benchmarking and AI outputs are indicative only and should not be the sole basis for any investment, accounting, tax, legal or business decision.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of every brand name, founder note, forecast, deck, photo, post and message you put in Shelflife. You grant Ab616 Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, process, analyse, display and aggregate that content solely to operate, improve and provide the service, including anonymised cohort benchmarking. We do not sell your data and do not train AI models on it.

7. Community content

Content posted with Community visibility may be seen by other signed-in founders. You're responsible for not posting confidential information you didn't mean to publish.

8. Account termination

Delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete my account. We schedule permanent deletion after a 7-day grace window. Signing in within the window cancels deletion.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ab616 Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss. Total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes are emailed to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
